Rotaliana Catalogue

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

At the begining of 2008 Rotaliana, a light-design firm, asked us to design a catalogue for its new collection of products. We started this project reorganizing the catalogue’s contents. A catalogue, for a design firm, has to be a operating tool, usefull and simple, full of contents and details.
We divided the catalogue into three different parts:

  1. Products ordered by family, each one with a picture of the family and an explanation of the details of each project, because design is much more than just aesthetic shapes
  2. Designers’ biographies, fundamental actors for a design firm
  3. Technical sheets, with detailed information for deeper reading

Our purpose was to set different kinds of reading, oriented for different and heterogeneous users. Pictures of products were taken by Emilio Tremolada, a photographer chosed by the firm.
